Black leaves are larger and the ones traditionally sold as mulberry leaves here. I don't think I've actually had any of the other types before.

I used mulberry leaves from any tree I've seen in my neighborhood (they are quite popular), and all of them seemed a hit with my shrimp. I pick a couple of green leaves, let them dry, and feed then.

Nothing about the shrimp, but I would stay away from M. alba due to its invasiveness. Even if it's a houseplant.
