My latest project was the worst case of procrastinating. A teak dining room table. I bought a slab in the summer of 2021. It sat in garage until a few months ago. The procrastinating was a slight disagreement with my wife in the style. She wanted farmhouse, which was not a great idea if using teak, IMHO. Especially buying lots more expensive teak for big, hefty legs. I even considered walnut. Finally she found some modern steel legs, made with rectangular tubing and powder coated. Absolutely beautiful construction, amazing smooth welds. And from Poland! We took a gamble, ordered them, and they arrived in about 3 weeks. (The lady had stellar reviews on Etsy.) Now I am waiting for both sons-in-law to come and help me get the top upstairs from my basement shop so I can attach the legs and call it complete!

Finish installing wood floors, finish installing fart fan in the bathroom, finish the stair railing on the deck, finish a custom walking stick gift.... see a trend here? Not so much procrastinating the START, but never getting to the FINISH. I won't embarrass myself further by saying how long some of these projects have been going. The hood looks sweet!

The Evening Woodworker
New video drops Tuesday at 9am PST on how I built this range hood. Initially the complexity of this was a bit intimidating, but as with most procrastinated projects, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. You should be excited about this video! What projects are you procrastinating?
