I like how its right track has lost its cover while the left track has a torn damage already. Not to mention the turret mounted Bren gun.

It's April 1945. The war is practically over, and yet some poor buggers are still dying. What a tragic waste.

I love watching the reels, almost all of them I've never seen before. My grandfather served from 39-45, he was in the TA so was called up even before war was declared. At the time this was recorded he'd have been in Greece, the worst of all the many theatres he fought in

I was in School in Uelzen you can still find battle damage on some old buildings if you look for it. Same in Soltau and Fallingbostel where i lived.

Cool thing about that is the main gun hides what's left of the flash and smoke.

Open hatches(and commander hatch rotating like madman), second Churchill parked nearly right next to it and the very presence of film camera on top of what I assume a third tank gives me a suspicion that this was NOT during an engagement, but rather another propaganda reel setup that we always see from wars.

It blew my mind when I found out that British tank machine guns in WW2 used German 8mm Mauser cartridges because they couldn’t convert the ZB guns to feed from .303 in time for the upcoming war
