I bring my own bag and if I've forgotten mine we buy a bag. Depends where on what kind. Grocery stores here usually sell big but sturdy plastic bags and smaller stores sell smaller paper bags.

I just stuff everything in my pockets and hands (if there is to many stuff I just take a bag that they have cuz it really depends which bags they have in the store, sometimes its just plastic sometimes some other stuff idk organic or sum? and sometimes its both and when its both I just grab something that comes to my hand first) (I dont really like paper bags tho)

If it's a last-minute or impulse thing instead of something planned, I usually don't have my reusable bags with me. My mother always has some in her car, though, so I shall also answer for her.
