I've been traveling for work since 1986 as Field Service Engineer. Traveling has never been easier than it is now. I can do everything I need from my cell phone - check flights, buy a ticket, change the flight if necessary, reserve a rental or Uber, have the map app voice guide me to almost any destination, reserve a hotel, book a dinner table, etc. When I started everything had to be done through a travel agent and everything was super slow. The only bad part now is that people (travelers) have gotten worse.

I’ve been flying extensively since the days of People’s Express. People like to complain, but flying is better now than anytime in history. Of course, a good guide is always welcome.

Travel is only difficult when you make it difficult, too many stop overs and layovers, trying to bring the biggest “ carryon” to game the airlines and then complaining when you get charged to check it 😅. Airlines are a business, not your friend, they will squeeze every possible penny out of you to make a profit to please their shareholders. Not having to use a travel agent or print every aspect of your trip is a huge bonus, if you travelled in the 70’s and 80’s you’ll know what I’m talking about

I hate flying. I may enjoy my destination once I am there, but the journey is usually awful. I can't see traveling much in my "golden years". It is hard enough at age 60.
