I'm too early to this lol, In Daniel Vávra's original script for Mafia 2, Henry was not a rat. But Vávra left the team due to disagreements with 2K and they changed a whole bunch of stuff about the game, including this plot point. so yeah He was indeed a rat in the final version of the script.

3 separate crime bosses were pretty darn confident that Henry was a rat. First was Mr.Wong, second was Leo. And third was Falcone himself when confronted by Vito. I highly doubt all three of them have gotten faulty intel.

It kind of depends on how you look at it. I believe that the original idea was that Falcone framed Henry and that Henry was not actually a rat. But after the dispute and Daniel Vávra’s departure, they rewrote these parts. So now Henry is portrayed as a rat.

Some people like to point out that he infiltrated the mafia and his entire story is fake, I don't believe that, I think his father was from sicily and that he got in by traditional means. He just became an informant later on, probably because of drug related offences

Hard to know, the mafia are not known for having reliable info on who the mole is, they just assume who it is with probable cause without evidence, like wrong place wrong time or not showing up at a specific time.

The story, timeline, and accent don't add up. The Frankie Potts file also states his dad is alive, a contradiction. Avoids killing despite being known as a hitman The fake cop shoe incident The conveniently memorized drug trade info, and "some guys I trust" Not visiting Vito Already knowing Falcone was into drugs Not killing Leo Cops showing up in some way in every mission except after he's whacked So much evidence

the thing is leo in the final mission says "the feds are breathing everyone's neck" i don't think the feds will be this aggresive torwards the mafia if henry wasn't a rat. the comission acted quickly for a reason.

I always wondered when did Henry become a rat fr but I also used to think that he became a rat right after Vito nd Joe whacked Clemente nd the rest of his family like he went to the feds for protection but they probably said they needed more information because the only information he might have been able to give was on his own crime family nd all of them were dead so was nothing I think he needed more hence to why he came to Vito trying to get into the falcone family nd whn he did he started to give them information so he could get witness protection or something like Tommy angelo but even that had loop holes in it because I did have suspicion after Vito said “so how’s your English so good?” But it being cut off short fr always seemed suspicious to me and that was whn Vito nd Joe was working for Clemente so if he already was then my whole lor idea would go straight down the drain lls
