According to the Minister of State, government spokesperson, Jean Emmanuel OUEDRAOGO, the Council examined several reports and made important decisions for the smooth running of the Nation. Under the Presidency of Faso, the Council adopted a decree on the creation, attribution, organization and operation of the Burkinabe Atomic Energy Agency (ABEA). The Minister of State, Government Spokesperson, Jean Emmanuel OUEDRAOGO stated that the Head of State " clearly indicated that this achievement will help guarantee the energy independence of Burkina Faso, the industrialization of the country and facilitate access to electricity throughout the national territory."
On behalf of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Crafts, the Council adopted two reports. According to Minister Serge Gnaniodem PODA, the first report includes two decrees. The first devotes the transfer of the Craft Villages to the International Crafts Fair of Ouagadougou (SIAO). As for the second decree, it devotes the modification of the statutes of the SIAO to take into account the Craft Villages that were transferred to it.
The second report concerns a decree establishing a mixed economy company called Société de fabrication et de pose de rails (Faso Rails), whose headquarters will be in Bobo-Dioulasso. "The creation of this company is in line with the vision of His Excellency the President of Faso, who instructed the government to work to establish, at the national level, a railway network that can connect the various provincial capitals ," said Minister PODA.
With a cost of around 70 billion FCFA, the company is expected to be set up in 18 months, with a capital of 10 billion FCFA, 75% of which is held by the State and the remaining 25% open to the Burkinabe private sector.
