Cottagecore = Spring/Summer, Academia = Fall/Winter

Whatever you feel like on that day. I don't really go for a "look", it's more about "what am I doing today, how hot/cold is it outside, etc". 😂

Honestly, it’s cottagecore in late spring/summer; academia fal/winter. But I prefer my fall wardrobe, so

@madisonyoungblood3552

I tend to gravitate towards romantic academia so I have a little bit of both

@TheAmericanFrugalHousewife

My bestie is dark academia. I’m vintage cottage core. It’s a battle that can’t be won. I’m convinced there’s a way we could combine the two.

Bothhhhh Cottagecore when I’m happy, academia when I’m sad 🤣

@motenema

Crossover? Academic cottagecore?

@maike__-

I went with academia because I'm always cold so I'll need more of the nice thick knit jumpers over blouses, and turtlenecks under wool coats and scarves and long trousers, and knit tights and legwarmers and boots and less of the cutesy ruffly crop top blouses and short skirts and summer dresses. Like, I agree that it's cute and I'd love to dress like that but realistically I could wear those for like one month out of the whole year and the rest of the time I'd be shivering 😂 but that's a me problem, I'd watch you make either one of these aesthetics into capsule wardrobe videos or somethin

@Edi-xt3rq

I don't really dress either, but I'm quite drawn to academia styles. It seems more like something I'd wear, especially the look of neutrals with green or pink mixed in.

@UniversallyDeranged

My style is mostly academia with a sprinkle of cottage core and witchy.

Is it ok to say Anne of Green Gables has the cottage core and Academia? Maybe Rose Cottage ,in Road to Avonlea more so. (Although the actors said they were cold in the winter, and hot in the summer, so maybe for spring and fall).

@asterismos5451

pirate/archeologist/art student-core is my vibe. voted cottagecore because at least it has colour and stays.

@DamePerdita

Academia pulled away from university to go on an adventure.

@ANinjasEerierEnemy

Love both. Agree that it can change with mood and seasons. But my personal look, which I describe as of "Comfy Professor" leans Academia (of Life Sciences).

@cyangeleek402

Cottage core over light academia, but dark academia over cottage core

@useupwearout5029

Home Decor, or Fashion? Either way....both can be adapted with the accessories to lean with the seasons. My BASE is light academia. Neutrals that are open to whatever I throw at it.

Both! 😆

Cottagecore seems spring/summer while academia leans fall/winter IMO.

I love cottagecore, I live academia, because floaty skirts and ruffles are not compatible with the Mining and Transport industries.
