Leah Remini

A bench has been dedicated in Mike Rinder’s honor—a place for families to connect, to reflect, and to remember those they love.

Mike’s greatest wish was to end Scientology’s cruel disconnection policy, to help families find their way back to each other.

This bench is meant to be a space where people can sit, think, and, hopefully, reconnect with loved ones.

Whether you live in Clearwater or are just visiting, I hope this spot brings comfort and reflection.

Christie Collbran Rinder (Mike’s wife), Claire Headley, and I chose the perfect spot—a place where people can pause and honor the ones they’ve lost or those they still hope to reunite with.

In loving memory of my dear friend and brother, and a friend to so many—my Mikey.

A heartfelt thank-you to the City of Clearwater, FL, for helping make this possible.

I cannot begin to describe how brave both you and Mike have been to not simply speak out against the atrocities committed by the “ Church “ of Scientology , but to follow through and actively continue to fight FOR THE FAMILIES WHO GOT OUT AND TO THOSE LEFT BEHIND. You have both saved untold numbers of victims: past, present, and future.

Thank you for letting folks know about this. I love that spot, but I haven't visited it since the construction all started. I will visit soon and enjoy his bench, and remember him.

What a beautiful honor in a beautiful peaceful place. Mike was so special. Lots of people we almost considered him part of our family, even when we never met him. From Spain, all my love to you, Leah, and to all Mike's loved ones. Thank you so much for your honesty and bravery.

Mr Rinder, You and Leah helped so many people dealing with that heinous cult called Scientology. God bless you, Mike. One day, that sad excuse for a religion, it's a cult will go away.
