I’ve been getting quite a few comments about my hands shaking slightly in videos recently and I’m fed up with it.
I have a tremor due to my disability. No, it’s not because I’m nervous. I have no control over when it happens, sometimes I carry on filming, sometimes I stop filming.
So here’s a reminder: don’t comment on people’s bodies online, especially when it’s about their disability.
It is not concern or curiosity, it is ableism. Do better.
EDIT: I’ve made the decision to filter and block certain derogatory words and phrases on this channel moving forwards to maintain a safe and non-judgemental space. I’ve also added some community rules that will pop up the first time anyone comments on the channel. Hopefully this will help in future.
