In the first photo, it looks like it joins up with the road bridge behind it. It's as if the building started out wanting to be a highway interchange, and then decided "You know what? I think I'd rather be a building."

I was there about 10 years ago. Inside and outside. It certainly left an impression.

I went there about 12 years ago. The building is an amazing piece of art itself.

I took a pilgrimage there when it was brand new. Immediately decided to study architecture.

It’s incredible that people travel from afar to see that hideous building.

It's my favorite building. I've never visited. The first time, I saw a photo and thought, "Oh, to be a raindrop on a windy day. What fun!" 🙂

One thing that impressed me was the titanium shingles used for the exterior cladding.

I’ve not been there but I’ve been there and saw a presentation by the general contractor for the Experience Music Project Museum in Seattle also designed by Frank Gehry. Amazing curved complexity and use of same computer modeling software as used by Boeing Aircraft (also in Seattle). Same contractor (Hoffman) also did Seattle Central Library by Rem Koolhaas. No curves but very complex trapezoidal shapes. All possible with computer drawings.

Real architect here; we teach everyone coming in to do the exact opposite of this building. It is considered the height of mount stupid. Our clients want the exact opposite, Period.

JESUS loves you all ❤️, REPENT and follow JESUS because he is the truth, the way and the life ✨️ 🙏 🙌 ❤️. Sin leads to destruction, rejection of the word of God is to have the mark of the beast, but JESUS leads to peace, love, joy, wisdom, mercy, prosperity, and eternal life ❤️ 🙌 🙏 ✨️. JESUS died for our sins. PRAISE BE TO GOD OUR LORD ✨️ ❤️

Been there for a conference in 2023, and I admit, the Guggenheim was pretty amazing as a building. 😅

The B1M
We loved telling this story. It's incredible that the Guggenhiem Bilbao remains to this day one of the most challenging and consequential buildings ever constructed. What was pioneered here really changed engineering and architecture. Have any of guys been there and did you know about its construction?
