Loving the historical aspect of your videos. Overlanding seems senseless to me without some kind of tangible objective. My wife and I have gotten into some dispersed camping over the last couple years after watching you... Matt and Cara.. Bill and Deb (Coddiewomple) and others. Personally we enjoy fishing primarily but secondly historical sites. When you get off the pavement you begin to see the real America and the sacrifices made to build this nation. So thanks for not just blasting thru miles to merely get from point A to point B. Driving thru a place and going to a place are 2 different things. If you aren't gonna stop you may as well just fly over it. Keep up the great work!

Looking forward to seeing this. Really enjoying the new twist on your channel. Idaho history and off roading combo. Love it.

Great video, Will. I love the format you’ve embraced lately. The history combined with overlanding is just money. Keep it up.

Thanks for another great episode that showcases the sometimes bloody conflicts between our native Americans and early gold rush participants and settlers. The scenery is absolutely stunning.

This was so fascinating and interesting to see these locations and the way it was presented made the history come alive. It is such a bittersweet treasure to hear these stories of our past and hopefully come away with a deeper sense of those that came before us. As always, love the off-roading and camping scenes. I’m always inspired to visit many of these locations you feature since I’m right here in Idaho. I just picked up my rig from K Suspension, so I’m ready to hit the trail. See ya out there.

In the book “Snake Indian Wars” it says 300 unarmed Chinese laborers heading to mine gold further east were massacred by Indians.

That cannon that was lost in the river is still there somewhere! It was never retrieved!

My latest History Project is live. I retraced the steps of some important battles in the West's bloodiest war between Native Americans and the US Government. This war happened in Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, and California...and no one really knows about it. To reach the battle sites I had to go farther into the Owyhees that I ever have before. https://youtu.be/D-f6URbA42Y
