Dark is incredibly dense storytelling but MY GOD does it pay off if you commit to it. Should you decide to watch it please please PLEASE use the original German language with subtitles. The actors are incredible.

Definitely True Detective, top of my list to see you react to. But I would LOVE to you to see The Leftovers after that. I was lucky to be an extra on quite a few episodes and it was amazing. Incredible show.

Black Sails and Dark are S-Tier shows. BS being a hidden gem usually means low YT views, but I’d watch on Patreon.

I love all these shows, especially Dark, but it has to be Black Sails for me. True Detective has only one undenyable season. Dark is briliant but well, dark and depressing. Leftovers is incredible but at the end of the day, Black Sails is just incredibly good. The best television has to offter (I mean season 1 is a mixed bag, but instantly in season 2 they lock in and make a fucking masterpiece).

I voted True Detective but I’m only really interested in a season 1 reaction. It’s an anthology series so each season is a contained, separate story. I’d also love to see you react to Fargo season 5 if you were up for another anthology series. With that one though while I’m most interested in a season 5 reaction I’d watch all 5 seasons unlike True Detective where I just want to see the first.

True detective is really only a 1 season investment since the series is an anthology and season 2 was a big miss. Season 3 was better and season 4 was ok. But woody and Matthew's performance and how they mirrored each other and balanced each other and was the foil for each other all at the same time is some of the best character work I have ever seen on tv. Eerie, weird, dark, exhilarating

Dark is a fine show, but the show you want to watch is 12 Monkeys. It’s similar to Dark, but with heart, color, and personality. Actually, it largely aired before Dark with Dark borrowing heavily from 12 Monkeys. 12 Monkeys starts out strong and gets better and better. Season 1 is closest to the movie (though with MANY differences). Season 1 is also generally considered the weakest - not because it is bad (it is, in fact, awesome), but because each season is bigger and better than the previous. In season 2, the show goes very much in its own direction, slowly uncovering an extremely deep world and story. All four seasons of the show were largely created together, so upon rewatch you discover so many hints and so much foreshadowing. It is one of those rare shows that gets better each time you watch it through. I just started my 12th rewatch and I’m still discovering new things. The story is awesome, with jaw dropping twists that you never see coming but make so much sense in retrospect. No twists just to have a twist that seem cool in the moment but leave you scratching your head after. The plot is meticulously put together with no plot holes - an impressive feat for any sci fi show, never mind a show about time travel. Anything you think could be a plot hole is actually a plot point that just hasn’t yet been revealed. The characters are all complex and relatable, with incredibly deep relationships. The character development and growth is unmatched. While the characters may do things you don’t like, they never do things “out of character” just to move the plot along. The cinematography, effects, costumes, music, props, &c are all superb - especially considering it had almost no budget on the Syfy network. It is a mystery how they were able to do what they did. And then, the series finale. The most perfect series finale I have ever seen. It answers every plot and character question, big and small. It makes me laugh, cheer, gasp, and cry every time I watch it. No amount of words do it justice. It is, in my opinion, the pinnacle of television. This show fundamentally changed me, how I see the world, and how I live my life. It is a mystery how this show remains so unknown. I spend a lot of time trying to convince people to watch it and every single person I’ve successfully convinced has loved it. The tiny 12 Monkeys subreddit regularly has posts like, “just finished the show, one of the best shows I’ve ever seen, how is it not more well known‽” and every time I wonder the same. Please, do yourself a favor and watch it. Start it tonight. You’ll have the time of your life.

Dark is a phenomenal TV show. It's tied with Mr. Robot as being my favorite of all time! I got a tattoo inspired from Dark, so that's my vote 😅 but I hope you enjoy whatever you decide to watch
