Anne Frank House

After Anne was discovered and arrested she couldn’t write anymore in her diary, so we don’t know what she felt, thought and experienced. But we do know a lot about this period, based on eyewitness accounts and documents.
Tomorrow August 4, 21:00 CET / 15:00 EDT / 12:00 PDT, the English spoken version of the YouTube series 'Anne Frank - After the arrest' will premiere on our channel on youtube.com/annefrank.Be the first to watch it!

That picture of the Frank's on the train is not representative of the true conditions. There is way too much space between people. It would have been a three day journey in the equivalent of a rush hour packed NY subway....without the seats. Just an absolutely hellish nightmare journey. Otto Frank later said he desperately wanted to the trip to end, but was dreading it ending, at the same time. The family knew where they were heading, and at the time of their travel, there was zero mystery about what going to Auschwitz meant.
