Yes, they also left the bags of excrement and garbage. I imagine that biologists would be very interested to know how these elements were reduced in such a hostile environment and constantly under cosmic radiation.

I think it would be VERY cool if one of the Artemis missions landed near enough to one of the Apollo landing sites to go to it and possibly bring some stuff back.
