Hello once again, Canonites. I've been fairly inactive as of late, and it is finally time to reveal what's been going on.
Back in March, I took a break from the channel for a week due to what I can only describe as a mental breakdown. Work was increasingly frustrating atop other issues including my insurance and recent flooding in my apartment. Returning to work after that, I found myself increasingly depressed whenever I worked on Halo-related anything; and while the Halo TV series and its marketing were a fun distraction from that, things have gotten to a point where I can't work on anything Halo related without inducing severe anxiety. Even typing this out has my hands shaking and my heart pounding.
This isn't the only point of stress in my life at the moment of course. I'm in the process of seeking help to sort through my issues, and as part of that process, I'm cutting out as many triggers for anxiety as possible. One step will be taking a break from this channel. I know I'm leaving some projects unfinished, and I'm truly sorry for that. However, as I said, producing content for this channel just isn't in the cards for me at the moment.
I hope y'all can understand, and thank you to all who do. While "Halo Canon" isn't in the cards for a while, I don't like sitting around with nothing to do. I've had a lot of ideas for non Halo videos over the years, and now might be a good time to explore that. We'll see.
Regardless, I do plan to return when I'm in a better place, mentally. I don't know how long that will be.
