I don't care what it cost to make a penny. This is the first step to getting rid of cash. What happens when a dime costs 12 cents to make? When a quarter costs 30 cents? When a dollar bill costs $1.13? They will just inflate the cost of producing cash to justify its removal. For those cheering the penny's demise, you're not as smart as you think.
