Most interesting topic is why do companies like ET transport think they can steal over $1 a mile from owner operators.

I'm in South Florida, did 4 years OTR, and EVERY FUCKING LOCAL JOB TELLS ME "You don't have any experience driving a local truck to hire you." And the ones willing to "take a risk" wants to pay me walmart wages. I got no wrecks, no tickets, Doubles, Triples, and Tanker, and being told $19/hr is the best they can do. I'm looking for another career. I can make 600/week doing most anything else.

Better yet, how are US and Canadas Tariffs going to affect the amount of trucks making deliveries in each country?

Probably 5-7 years. It will then be autonomous. And that because there will be resistance in the industry to job loss.

Come Ronin, don't avoid the elephant in the room buddy. Do a topic on Arkansas new law to ban foreign truck drivers from their state. It's just the beginning my friend. US owner operators, truck drivers had enough of non US OO EATING OUR lunch.

Better question is will trucking survive population collapse like i want to be a default otr driver but there's too much honorable work to do here homeside like I literally had let the northerners starve by turning down a reefer job because I had to work a job that lets people buy time at the end of their life.
