Happy Belated B~Day Erika! I come & check on ur channel everyday under videos & lives to see if u posted any new content but never think to look under ur community tab as I did now. 1st off, u got me over here cryin, not Cz I’m sad but because u spoke to my soul! I turned 46 in August although I’ve told my daughter I will no longer count after 45, guess with the exception of sharing this with u! I would share a long inspirational story with u as I normally blabber on 4 days on my comments, but I don’t feel that I need to do that. Let me keep it simple by saying that 3 yrs ago I was in a very similar place & lost all hope. I couldn’t for the life of me see how things could get better or worse as far as the pain I was suffering in. Doesn’t matter physical or emotional imo, pain is pain & all plays together in the long run. Yet being a Leo, I am notorious for Not accepting Defeat…period! Live in the moment Cz age is a state of mind! I decided that only I can do anything different & only I can change the things that I could & the rest of those things were there n meant to be for a reason. I don’t question fate! My entire life changed the very same day. I took back my strength & needed to be the love, light & example to my daughter that I had always promised her I will be. She is about to turn 25 in February & recently graduated from Penn State. She has been my everything & my inspiration always. We are ridiculously close & it is my magic sauce in life, outside of ResinArt, that’s my mental health therapy. What I want u to know is that I see ur strength & have always seen something in u that resonated with me. Ur doing the work, u will get urself back on track, however u will be a new version of urself that u have never met. Every scar, every loss, every difficult challenge shapes u into someone that made it through Erika! U are strong & u do inspire many upon many of artist across the planet. U r going thru a dark night of the soul experience & it always kicks ur ass in the moment. I promise u though, once u come out the other side, u will hopefully replay this back in ur mind & remember these words. That’s when u will know u have arrived exactly where ur meant to be! U may not know me personally, but IDGAF, I’m gonna tell u anyways… I Love u & ur a beautiful individual who has given me so many days of happiness, I only hope in due time I return that to u by reminding u of this. Also u only prove my point btw u handled that 1 dumbass comment! That made me want to lose my mind that someone said some sideways Sh*t like that to u🤬however I see that u have some form of fire sign burning in u but instead u handled it with grace & returned it beautifully, all they could do was Shut the front door & fall silent!! That was Brilliant!

Cheers to 41: The Roller Coaster Edition
As I hit the big 4-1 (yikes! 🤢), I've been doing a bit of reflecting on the wild ride that was this past year. It wasn't all smooth sailing to say the least—with the economy tapping the brakes on my business (slow economy = slow small businesses), my car drama, and the absolute heartbreak of losing Clara…. let's just say 2024 was a lot.
So much so that I ended up on Zoloft, which I'm mentioning not for sympathy, but to maybe encourage someone else who's hesitating to seek help. I pride myself on being a strong minded, independent, optimistic and a generally happy person. It took a lot to talk to my dr about struggling with motivation, concentration, the sluggishness, loss of appetite and overall feeling of gloom that washed over my life when Clara passed. Remember, it's okay to not be okay. I still feel some shame around not being able to control my mental state but I’m taking it one day at a time 💕
But hey, life wasn't just about the tough stuff. I learned how to surf! 🏄♂️ Yes, at 40, proving you're only as old as you feel... until you try to get out of bed the next day, that is. Felt like 25 getting on the board but felt like 75 getting out of bed two days later!
So why am I sharing this ramble? Maybe just to celebrate the small victories and remind myself (and maybe you too) of what we've all managed to overcome. If you've made it this far into my birthday reflection, thank you sincerely for sticking with me through this post and this year.
And for those asking what I want for my birthday—just help me keep the good vibes flowing! If you feel like treating me, I wouldn't say no to a birthday drink (or two 😉):
