What was the hardest or most frustrating part of this project. What recommendations would you give to newer animators who want to animate in 3D?

@KianBrose

Apologies if these have already been asked - How do you find the motivation to keep going on a project like this when a day of work amounts to a second or two of animation? How are you not burnt out? - Did you animate all movements by hand or did you use motion capture suits for some of the shots? - Have you considered looking into the stolas "you will be ok" bit? What are your thoughts on it's feasibility in 3d? - Do you make all of the materials yourself? - Is vox's face actually 2d placed on a plane or is that 3d but that looks 2d? If it's actually 3d how does that work in terms of z height (for it to look flat)? - How long did this take to render? - I imagine you made some neat artboards for how your take on some scenes would look, will you be sharing those to see the thought process? - How do you "mask" the teeth when they are retracting below Alastors jaw? (If it's not a height resize with an origin at the bottom - It would be interesting to see you rank the top 5 most time consuming aspects of this project

@AlexThirty

I have a few questions, hope you'll answer: 1. How did you find the time to finish this so fast? How did you balance your time between doing this and other life activities (work/school/anything else) 2. Are you self taught with everything like animation, modeling, etc? Or did you learn from somewhere? 3. Any advice you could give if someone also wants to be this skilled at animation? Thank you!

@facundonomdedeu2940

1-Are you thinking on doing new animation? 2-Do you have any tip for people that are learning how to use blender? 3- Did someone help you with the animation?

@XxCloudxNynexX

HOW have you NOT been hired by GLITCH yet?? Also, do you plan on making any other songs for Hazbin Hotel and/or other fandoms?

@crazymonkey8056

What kept you motivated? I know for me working on animation project you tend to lose some motivation, and for how big this project is, I just wonder what kept you going till the end?

@EmberlyStudios11

Two questions: 1. Do you have any other projects you want to make with Hazbin Hotel? For example, another 3D music video? 2. Can you make a video with some tips about rigging the characters, so other people could also make as cool things as this 3D music video?

@thbluprnt

Two questions (1) How did you rig Vox's face? (2) How did you rig Alastor transforming?

@thescribblingnerd9378

what was your process? did you do everything chronologically or out of order? storyboard? And how did you go about creating the shots in the song that you changed? ^^ you did an AMAZING job on this, can’t wait to see what you create in the future!

@skittlesushi1723

1. How long did it take you make each scene? Did any scene take longer to animate than others and if so which ones? 2. How many times did you have to storyboard the things you made up (ex: Alastor poker scene)? What’s your storyboarding process? 3. How long have you been animating for? What tips can you give beginners like me? 😊 I dabbled a bit into blender before, but I’m nowhere nearly as great as you 4. What programs did you use other than blender if any? 5. Are you a professional animator? If so, do you work at studio or freelance? 6. Have you ever dabbled in 2d animation before? Can be computer or traditional hand draw

@LaximboGD

Is Vox's TV screen animation created separately (like in Adobe Animate) and added to the model, or is it controlled directly through the rig's face controls? If so, how did you make it and keep the geometry clean?

@Wateey

I'd love to learn more about your process! and hopefully receive some useful beginner advice from you 'cause I know you'd have plenty. Your animation is mesmerizing and I can't wait to see more of you!

@FedericoMariaLeonardi

I noticed that some parts aren't exactly like the actual video, what you added goes extremely well with the whole theme of the song and the mood (example "here's the sugar on the creme" where alastor looks back at the camera, in the original video that part doesn't exist) what made pick your choices on those parts? Because they fit incredibly well.

@redglassesartist

It looked amazing! 🤩 I’m new to blender(trying to work up the courage to sculpt models now lol) and i guess my main question is how long did it take you? And what tips would you give to someone who’s new to this

@Phobie_2000

Exactly how DIFFICULT was this whole process? Were there times of burnout? Or were you just grinding until it was done?

I can't wait for see the behind the scenes.

Hell yes. Pun intended

@sassysamanthie6262

I was HOPING for this. I was going to try and reach out and ask for the behind the scenes process. I would like to know how you decided which scenes to "rework" from the original. I think all the changes you made to the animation were absolute perfection. Also, who was the most difficult to animate?

7 months ago | 2

@ZacAnMLP

How long have you been animating? Did you learn by yourself or watched tuts?
