not for what he said, but I can’t believe they didn’t do it earlier purely from a business perspective

Like most of us. He is an employee. I can say anything I want. If it reflects negatively on my employer and lose customers. Then I'm a liability.

I think if all of the late night show hosts had followed the wisdom of Johnny Carson to stay away from serious issues, including politics, everyone would be a lot happier: viewers, hosts, audiences, and the networks. In his interview with Mike Wallace, Carson said it was a danger to use that forum to sway people.

This is so ridiculous. How did the actors not know when ratings are down you get canceled no one in the business had lower ratings than him. Why is this even a question the advertisers are losing money half of the affiliates were pulling out.

weird how on that same show he was celebrating when others lost their jobs over speech they used when not even doing their jobs but now he is all "but mah freedom of speech" funny how that works

everyone who is behind the idea of taking a talk show off the air because they said something you don't agree with, just keep the same energy when the shoe is on the other foot. these things always swing back in the other direction. "Don't start something that you don't want used against you later" is a good rule to live by.

I do, but not for what he said.. but for that the show sucked 😂in my opinion

If we've been paying attention... We've been censored for years on what we can say and what we can't. Facebook and YouTube have censored people. The media only letting one viewpoint to be spoken.

Funny how the same celebrities that are getting cancelled are mad, but were fine with Trump and Kanye getting cancelled and kicked off social media back 4 years ago

But losing jobs for not calling people by their pronouns, yup that's acceptable 😂 you can tell who someone is by what they defend

What I think means nothing when sponsors are pulling ads and revenue.

I’ve never agreed with cancel culture. Kimmel has the right to say what he wants. His employer also has the right to terminate him. The best approach is to let the audience support dictate the relevance. Jimmy was on the way out anyways. Democrats were cancelling to the extreme a couple years ago. Now the pendulum is swinging. To participate in the same behavior seems petty but unfortunately thats the world we live in.

Should Tom Holman have his job after the 50K bribe caught on camera

Kimmel knew he was being insensitive, inflammatory and, most importantly, incorrect. We all have the freedom to say whatever we’d like. There are also consequences based how we exercise our freedom. If you upset your employer, you may be punished. Accept it.

The FCC shouldn't have said anything. Let ABC decide
