Most animals have a desire to avoid contact with us. This is especially true of wild animals. They are naturally wary of us. We should respect this fact, and we shouldn't try to force a relationship with them. Similarly, we shouldn't force a relationship with something descended from an apex predator that's basically a bastardized version of that wild animal, bred into a stupid mutant that needs to be 'trained' to be less aggressive and gross than it is in its default state.
It is certainly possible to tame certain wild animals to an extent, but they will always retain their natural instincts. Dogs likewise retain the instincts of their wild progenitors. Them being 'domesticated' means bugger all.
