My pick is based on the feel and sounds of the unit. Compared to the broodlord in sc2, the feel of the attack of the Guardian in sc1 is superior. When that projectile hits it feels heavy and you know you are in for some trouble. (Terran player here) Anyway, the sounds of all the zerg air units are freakin awesome.

I would have built Devourers so often if they didn't cost me a Mutalisk on top of their cost. If you could hatch them from Larvae they'd be a top tier unit.

While the guardian is the best air unit. I like the sniping a queen can do with broodlings.

Devourer is the coolest, Guardian most iconic, Queen most thematic, Overlord most recognizable. All of them are awesome designs.
