I use a Tomahawk 450B mainboard in my PC (I say PC because it is Windows OS based, else I'd say computer). Connecting a 3/8th to 3/8th jack cable between the speaker out and line input I made a loopback measurement using ARTA. Image below. The bBFS is -4.5db as the onboard sound only outputs 0900mV RMS and minimum for ARTA calibration is 1000mV RMS. Still the spectrum analyser output is not bad.
The frequency response is usable also. It has a little wobble at the higher frequencies. Two images below.
