Can't look past the Thor at the moment, that is endgame Android handheld for me as long as the controls and ergonomics hold up.

I have an Odin 2. While I love it to pieces, I find myself currently playing it way less than I had expected. The hard part about being a gamer in 2025 - thousands of retro games + PC/current gen console backlogs in the hundred(s). One hard part is an old SNES game might not take nearly as long as a PS2 game. It is a lot harder to knock out several PS2 games, or even like an NBA Jam game, than something on PS2 in small bursts. I suppose save states are my friend. I don’t regret the buy at all, especially since the RP4 was quickly abandoned. Now, had someone say an Odin Mini with the same specs was coming out like 16 months after I got my Odin 2… would have been tough. The main complaint I have with the Odin 2 is portability. I can toss it in a case and then in a bag, absolutely. I find my 35XX SP is very easy to toss in a pocket and play by comparison. At this point, I play most classic retro games on the SP and modern retro games on the Odin 2. Given I never had a PS1 or PS2, I haven’t even looked into PS3 emulation on it (Rocknix).

Going to wait and see. I've seen a few handhelds now require a recall or reissue/revision shortly after launch. I'd rather let the first real reviews come in after people have had some time with the units to see how they stack up and how the actual hardware is instead of the prototype/review units. Not that I have any doubts about AYN, I've just learned with handhelds that patience is a virtue

Since I just got the thor as my first ever ayn, I'm kinda holding off till they decide to make a Odin 3 mini, because I almost picked up the Odin 2 mini instead of the thor when I was making the decision to purchase the thor

As cool as the idea of getting one would be I already have an Odin 2 Pro and the Thor is everything that I want out of a portable handheld that can play DS games comfortably. And I might as well consider buying a steam deck if I want to reach out towards PC games.
