I’m so happy you got your channel back! Still so dumb it all didn’t come back w/ the playlists, but yeah it could’ve been so much worse! I’m so sorry you felt all these things & it took such a toll! Hey Steus, I'm super sorry for being late onto the whole thing here. My Apologizes. Anyways, we love you and welcome back Setsu buddy/sis! You are truly an icredible person with full of heart, spirit and you've brought so much of joy, happiness, love and so much more! You are a caring, helpful, supportive and truly one of a kind friend/sister that all of us in the Fandub/VA community could ever have. Also, I'm sorry to hear about what happen to your YouTube channel and that's not cool. Nobody messes without our friend like this. Plus, you deserve all of the love, support and everything else as well. I will say this, no matter what happens, all of us will always have back and to support you all the way. As some of you probably noticed, or were told, back on April 18th, I received an e-mail from Youtube, that my channel had been terminated, for repeated severe scam, spam and deceptive practices. Of course I was absolutely shocked by this accusation, and I immediately appealed it. Not even 5 minutes after, I received the reply that after "careful reviewing" they determined that the accusation was correct, and my channel would be terminated for good.
I was in a real life nightmare, absolutely heart broken and shocked, that they would mark me and my channel as scam and being deceiving. All of you who know me here knows that this is a straight up lie, and these accusations are completely false.
A tough and very long and slow battle began, where I repeatedly wrote to Youtube on Twitter, over and over and over, one post after another, tagging them in everything, several times, about this unfair and unjust treatment. I filled out every form I could find online, to try and get in touch with a human being, as I very much believe an AI bot has not only falsely flagged my channel, but also treated my appeal case, and just auto rejected it.
I did manage to get through to TeamYoutube on Twitter, and had a human staff write me, saying they were willing to help. Replies from them took a very very very long time, with one day after another passing. I was extremely stressed from this whole ordeal, constantly checking my e-mail and Twitter for any reply from Youtube, to help with my case. My friends know I didn't even eat for the first 24 hours after I got the termination message, and I ate and slept very little while the case was going.
I was also frustrated, as I actually pay for Youtube Premium, to be able to use Youtube Music. This was all terminated too, along with my channel, yet my subscription was not gone. So while my channel and Youtube Music was gone, Youtube was still charging me money for a service I was not able to use. On top of that, I did not have the option to cancel my subscription either. It was set to be renewed in May, but if I tried to make any changes, it would send me to my non-existing channel, making cancellation impossible.
Finally on April 23th, I got the e-mail from Youtube, that they had done another review of my channel, and could now see I did indeed NOT break their community rules regarding scam, spam etc. and Youtube admitted they had made a mistake, and reinstated my channel. Needless to say it was a HUGE relief to get my channel back, and have Youtube admit they had falsely removed me. Not only cause all my videos were gone, but also cause the list of all he channels I was subscribed to were gone, along with all of my playlists. Playlists I've collected with all collabs, fandubs, group covers and videos I've been part of over the last many years, but also my list with all the videos you guys have made, using my fandub ready videos. Also years of channels I've found and subscribed to gone.
My playlists are still messed up from the termination, and are not accessable, or able to be viewed for neither viewers nor me at the moment, and I made a new case to Youtube support about this. They're telling me that my playlists should go back to normal after about 1 week after the reinstatement of my channel, so I'm currently keeping an eye on that, or I'll reach out to them again.
This whole message is mainly to give a huge heartfelt THANK YOU, to all of you who supported me through this ordeal. I know several retweeted and called out Youtube on Twitter on my behalf, also demanding my channel to be returned to me, and their accusations being false. Also posts being made here on Youtube, bringing awareness to what had happened to me, and call for aid from the community.
I saw all the messages, and all the retweets, calling for justice for me, and it really really warms my heart and touched me to see just how many of you commented to have me back, and also helped message and tag Youtube, to get their attention. I truly believe that your efforts too was the factor that helped make Youtube notice me, and reach out to clear up this big mistake. It would not have been possible without all of you.
So therefore, all of you have my biggest and heartful thank you. Thank you all so so much for helping me.
