Another reason why Hollywood ruins everything, reboots being one of them, still having many concerns about this fifth movie, hopefully those informations are just rumors, and yes, when we first heard about Shrek 5, fans are already irritated/outraged by the new designs, apart from Shrek the Third also being bad, just like Lightyear.
