Meet the Siren Kings – New Zealand's loudest subculture.

Since 2010, self-proclaimed Siren Kings have been strapping sirens ordinarily used for tsunami warnings onto their bikes and cars to play music as loud as they can. While they say their love of sounds is a form of creative self-expression and community building, their neighbors say it’s 3am and they can’t sleep.

Local investigators, ‪@TheDepartmentofInformation‬, set out to meet these Siren Kings, hear from their sleepless neighbors, and try to figure out why they’re playing Céline Dion in the middle of the night.
