The four songs from Suite One are still my favorite; but I just haven’t spent enough time with The Complete Sweets yet. I got so excited when I heard Spaceman in Tulsa on the radio yesterday. As of right now my favorite lyric from the new songs is, “The saddest mistakes are the ones that we make Wishing away what's right in front of our eyes” from Spaceman. My favorite lyric from Suite One is, “There are some of us get broken when we're children And you never get it back once that is gone”. Adam knows how to cut deep, say what needs to be said, and still sound great all while making you bob your head, tap your feet, and raise your hands as your soul mourns. There’s no other band that makes me feel like Counting Crows.

This album has become the theme for my move out of my hometown after nearly fifty years. "I will leave you a lot, but i won't leave you alone," has meant a lot to me and my loved ones. Thank you so much for your words and your music. You guys are amazing. 💜

…where is there a place for me, among the millions humming, and humming and humming away? The whole album is phenomenal, but Under The Aurora is my favorite-hits me every time, every line

I am obsessed with Virginia Through the Rain… the lyrics and the way Adam sings ‘G G Ginny, please receive me’… goosebumps. Best live band in the world 👍

Some of us get broken when we're children and we never get it back once that is gone And I don't know why

"If you come for the memories, I'll leave you this song. Sing it all your tomorrows, forever and ever and on. If the meaning escapes you, the melody will roll on. In the emberglow of one British cigarette, and the downpour that cannot extinguish it. I'd run headlong into the darkness if that's what you need, because you were everything I needed!" -With Love, From A-Z

I'm a pain killer, and I'm a caterpillar definitely belongs in the pantheon. But also all of Virginia through the Rain.

There's so many. Virginia through the rain ive had on repeat, but elevator boots might take it...i remember her but don't remember me. Adam paints pictures that bob dylan couldn't even dream.

Look, I know "Bobby and the rat kings" is not new, but I do love the line. "Then she kissed me without a thought and said memories are all that we got." I could keep naming lyrics forever. Pure poetry

I've been savoring each song. I haven't heard them all yet. "Fishnet luck" made me giggle. Reminded me of this night at the bar at the Alpine lodge. 😊

There's very few instances of songwriters using profanity in an artistic manner that actually lends TO the song, rather than just being used for shock value or lack of talent. The song "Mean Man" found on Wasp's "The Headless Children" album is a good example of the F word being used in such a way. It just works..Adam has done the same thing here. It's fun to sing along with...
