Being an independent creative or entrepreneur can be a very lonely existence. But it doesn’t have to be!
One of the most impactful things I ever did when I started my own agency was to become active in digital entrepreneur communities online.
That’s because it’s critical, as a creative professional, to build a meaningful network of connections and partners in your field. In doing so, you create what is essentially a career safety net.
A strong network can bring you introductions to new clients, new business referrals and partners you can work more complex projects with.
Also, we all need trusted colleagues that we can periodically turn to for advice, guidance, resources and feedback on our work.

Also, we all need trusted colleagues that we can periodically turn to for advice, guidance, resources and feedback on our work.
That’s why I created the Brand Design Masters Facebook Group.
www.facebook.com/groups/branddesignmasters
Apart from comments sections and the occasional DM, YouTube, Instagram or LinkedIn don’t make it very easy to interact as a professional community.
But in the BDM Facebook group we’re able to have more direct contact with each other.
So if you haven’t already, I encourage you to head over to Facebook and apply to join this private group.
It’s full of creative and ambitious folks just like you - some early in their careers - some very senior and more seasoned.
Every one of them is there for the same reasons: to meet other creatives and entrepreneurs, build relationships and help each other succeed faster.
So drop by, introduce yourself and start engaging with this incredibly vibrant community.
I look forward to connecting with you there!
