I think Spinosaurus would’ve definitely worked for the movie and it would be one of the ways to make the movie better as a whole without having to change the entire movie. During the scene where Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler were with Ramsay Cole in the plane together where Ramsay was talking about the Apex Carnivores being in the Biosyn sanctuary, not only could he have said that they have a T-Rex and a Giganotosaurus, he could’ve mentioned that 5 other Apex Carnivores were recently captured and brought in from all over the world, he wouldn’t mention what species they were or even if they’re the same species that he knew were already in the facility. Just by using this statement it would give audiences a hint at whether there’s 5 other species in the facility or if there’s multiple individuals of one species that they captured, this would be a good way to create buildup to the Spinosaurus, because it wouldn’t show up until the scene where all the dinosaurs are trying to escape the flames caused by the locusts where we see a brief subtle shadowy outline of the Spino in the background, making it a blink or you miss it moment or try to look really closely because a lot of other dinosaurs would be in the same shot as well, but then our first good look at the Spinosaurus would be during the final fight in the movie. First, the same fight between Rexy and the Giganotosaurus is how it should start. Then, the Therizinosaurus should appear and put up a pretty good fight with the Giga, but after the Therizinosaurus slashes the Giga in one of its eyes, there’s a brief pause and then the Giga slowly turns its head to face the Theri, and then the Giga lunges forward really quickly and bites on the Theris neck and kills it, giving the Giga one of its onscreen kills, the Giga would do a victorious roar and then the Giga would go back towards Rexy while she’s still unconscious, but as a audience we think she’s actually dead. Then, once we see the Giga attempt to start eating Rexy we see Alan Grant use a flare gun to distract the Giga, but the flare misses the Giga, but the Giga moves its head to see where the flare goes since the Giga seems to get distracted by fire (seen earlier in the film when Ian Malcolm distracted with the flaming locust on the stick) and when we see where the flare lands we see the feet of another Apex carnivore, and then the camera zooms out to reveal the Spinosaurus which we notice is staring at Alan Grant, and Alan Grant is just staring back in fear as if the Spino remembers him and the flare he shot at it all those years ago, but then we see the Spino and Giga locked in eye contact, then they both roar at each other, and then the Spino rushes forward first, and then the Giga rushes forward afterwards that way they’re both inside the same area the fight originally took place in, and the fight would at least last a few minutes, they’d both put in some decent damage on each other, and we even notice one point where the Spino tries to kill the Giga the same way it kills the T-Rex in JP3, but it doesn’t work, after that we see the Giga bite the Spino on the neck and bash it towards one of the same sculptures that the Giga used to knock out Rexy, and we of course think the Spino is dead now, and the Giga stands still to regain its energy after getting into 3 fights with large dinosaurs. But then, we get the same shot in the movie where we get the zoom in on Rexy, and once the camera is really close we notice Rexy’s eye movement just like in the movie, and we see her get up and she’s staring down the Giga while it doesn’t see Rexy and it’s trying to regain its energy, then Rexy would rush towards the Giga and bite it on the neck and start getting some decent hits on the Giga. Then as we see Rexy and the Giga fighting in the background, we notice the Spino start to get back up, and then the Spino rushes forward and starts attacking the Giga as if it’s teaming up with Rexy, and then we get an epic shot of Rexy, Spino and the Giga all roaring at each other at the same time, and then the fight continues, with both Rexy and the Spino beating up the Giga left and right, but at the end, Rexy gets a hold of the Giga’s neck and spins the Giga around the same way that the Giga spun Rexy around during the prologue, and after that Rexy puts all her weight onto one of the Giga’s ankles causing the ankle to break, and the Giga fall over, and then Rexy walks up towards the Giga and places one of her feet onto the Giga’s body to gain leverage while she bites the Giga’s head and bends it to the point the Giga’s neck snaps, killing it. Then we see Rexy doing a victorious roar in a way that looks similar to the ending of the original park. After that we get an aerial shot of Rexy feeding on the Giga’s body, and the Spino feeding from the Theris body, and we notice the whole cast was watching the fight the whole time, epic music would be playing from the beginning of the fight to the end, Also to answer the question about what the 5 other Apex Carnivores were that I mentioned in the beginning, well, those 5 carnivores would be the the JP3 Spinosaurus, the Buck, Doe and a new Red and Black alpha T-Rex, and also a female Giganotosaurus. Which we wouldn’t see until the end of the movie, although the female Giganotosaurus would appear during a scene where Biosyn employees are trying to let out some of the dinosaurs from some cages out into the sanctuary but she’s caged up but separated from the main male Giganotosaurus which would escape from its separate cage, after the Giga escapes it kills a couple of the employees that were rounding up some herbivorous dinosaurs, giving the Giga some of its onscreen human kills, there would be a couple others, but this would be around the point in the film where we saw the Giga sleeping during that scene where Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ramsay Cole were in the plane together, except this time, instead of the forest, the Giga would be sleeping in its cage, but then we’d notice it wake up and stand up, then we’d notice an employee get a little too close to the cage of the Giga to attempt to feed it some meat, then the Giga would lunge forward and bite down on the guys hand, breaking through the cage and also eating the guy in the process, then the other people that would be rounding up the herbivores would notice this and start to run away, but the Giga would get one of them and walk away into the forest. In turn this would be one of the ways to make the movie better and make it 3 hours long without having to change the entire movie, and there’s other things I would include too that I didn’t even mention here, I just wanted to avoid making this comment too long lol, but if you’re interested I’d be happy to share everything I would include and exclude to make the movie better without having to really change the movie, so even with my changes the movie would probably be better and still be essentially the same movie with the same plot.

Hands down. Huge missed opportunity. I thought at least the Giga & Rex could have more screen time but we didn’t even get that hell not even our girl blue

They literally said that they’re bringing back iconic characters and dinosaurs to wrap up the trilogy… I only saw the character half being true!

It should've replaced the Therazinosaurus & been the one to team up with Rexy to kill the Giganotosaurus, that would've been a nice tip of the hat to the longstanding Tyrannosaur/Spinosaur rivarly.

Everyone’s been begging for it. I love the Therizinosaurus as it’s one of my favorite dinosaurs but it’s kinda pointless to the plot. We can have the Theri do some shit in the fight but the Spino should participate more

Yes. Because the T Rex needs redemption and prove why it is the king and queen of all predators

After watching the Movie and some YouTube videos about the movie, I would have to say yes as they wasted Giga, I was expecting more scenes of the Giga, could've replaced the Giga with Spino or made Rexy, Theri and Spino fight Giga or something. Also a no, since there probably wasn't enough time to add the Spino, maybe they could've done a Credit Scene at least in my opinion or a reference/easter egg.

The Spinosaurus definitely should've been in Dominion if it was confirmed but other dinosaurs should have as well

Spino shouldn’t suffer because of the jp3 creators failure.

People call it a missed opportunity I call it a waste of time. Dilophosaurus returning was enough fan service spino wouldn’t have any purpose and I don’t care for it they can explore on it in future projects. I don’t have anything against the spino but I don’t care for it so people saying why wasn’t in there it would just feel too fan servicey overload.

Spino should have been swapped with the Giga or should have helped Rexy kill it in the end

I heard it was going to be and I was very disappointed that it wasn't

If anything it should have been the main villan instead of the Giganotosaurus Becomes the Giganotosaurus didn't do anything bad and when it was killed I actually felt bad for it
