I don't know, he's in a weird spot. The "Gilbert Burns is a huge win" ticket has been pulled too many times now, winning this fight wasn't a pass to the top dogs necessarily. I don't think he needs to fight Leon and create a legacy of beating old dogs on losing streaks, I think he needs to fight someone who has won and is moving towards relevancy, not away. Right now, the Daniel Rodriguez fight makes sense to me, the schedules are similar, both guys got round 1 KOs, and D-Rod got some momentum going now. If not that, then maybe the winner of a potential Geoff Neal vs. Carlos Prates fight. Maybe even MVP if he goes back down to Welterweight.
