Residents are strongly advised to remain inside their homes and avoid being on rooftops or balconies. If you’re outdoors when the sirens sound, quickly find shelter in a nearby building or go underground if possible.
For those driving at the time, it’s recommended to safely park your vehicle and find cover nearby. If it’s nighttime, people should turn off all lights, close heavy curtains to block any light from escaping, and switch off automatic lighting sources like generators or solar lights. It’s also advised to avoid using mobile phones or flashlights outside.
The siren system will include a continuous 5-minute alarm to indicate an alert and a 1-minute siren to signal when the danger has passed. In case of emergency, residents can call the helpline number 112.
