I recommend Blade (which I mentioned in the livestream the other night), with Wesley Snipes as a vampire slayer who is half-vampire himself. Snipes is at his peak, and Stephen Dorff is a lot of fun as a power mad vampire who wants to enslave all of humanity. EDIT: as a bonus, Blade is a Marvel superhero character!

Gay (subtext): Along with Angel, I think Xena is the closest show to Buffy. Like Buffy, the show skillfully combines action, drama and comedy all together, with its star being a fantastic actress, and with a fun supporting cast and great villains. And like Angel, the lead is also seeking redemption for past misdeeds. You will love it! “30 days of night” it’s probably the best vampire horror film ever. It was released in 2007. I highly recommend it. Check the trailer to be convinced to watch it. Also check out “invasions” Apple TV show. Season 2 is currently on, it’s about Aliens.
