Learned primary at Toronto Ashtanga. Practiced for 5 years and ran into back issues. Added some backbends and it resolved. Another naming system might have been better to help people understand the connection between the series. Now, I do Anjaneyasana during Surya Namaskara B and hold each of the 3 cobras for 5 breaths each. This is very helpful for short practices like just the standing poses and closing.

Thanks for this. I did this sometime back, added 2nd series after primary and the extra backbends have really rounded out the practice and i feel better overall. But there is a time crunch , and only so much i can do everyday. Any pointers on how to add the other asanas?
