I renember when i was a kid my mother didn't want me to see the Gremlins or Nemesis from RE3 because it was "too scary" and when i saw them i really just went "that's it?" Then funnily enough i was scared of fucking Sonic.exe lmao

The claustrophobia was so well done in that movie. I was glad when the monsters showed up.

Being absolutely terrified of fiction is a peak childhood experience. I look back fondly on memories of me as a 12yo laying in bed, shivering in fear thinking about the xenomorph from Alien.

If they act up remind them that the decent creatures are theoretically possible

I saw John Carpenter’s the thing at 12. I was fucking terrified of the dark for years because of that.

The classic “I won’t be scared” and then goes on to fear their shadow for the next three weeks 😂

I loved horror movies as a kid, when I was ~5 I begged my dad to see The Descent in theatres, he begrudgingly saw it with me. He promised that if I got too scared we could leave. About halfway through I begged and begged to leave but he forced me to stay because he had become invested in the story. One of my first memories is pleading with my dad to leave the theatre, and him saying no. Idk if I’ve ever been that scared again in my life

When I was a kid, my dad didn't want me to see the first Resident Evil movie because it was Rated R, but I was like "Dad, we watch Predator like three times a year...".

I watched Freddy V Jason with my dad at like 7. Such a memorable experience. That one is much easier to digest for kids.

It used to be the internet's job to traumatize us at that age. Homie took that into his own hands xD
