My boss used to tell me that it was ok to THINK about that stuff as much as I need to, as long as I never said it OUT LOUD, especially to the patients! Which I think is fair. ๐

I'm on the spectrum and when I go to the hospital I tend to panic and (sometimes) I get rude. Thank you for treating me professionally. I do appreciate it โค๏ธ

I'm glad you decide to do this, not to be condescending, but they are there for help so they're responses aren't always gonna be so kind... that's your job to help deescalate! Thank you for your services!

I feel the same as a chronically ill person with doctors who are rude to me. I almost shouted at an ultrasound tech for saying something incredibly insensitive but I held my tongue.

Same way with my friends, i be wanting to say the most unhinged things imaginable until i realize that its gonna make me seem pretty "off". So i just keep it to myself in the end

I'm not sure I could last in a field where people are consistently rude and aggressive towards me

I don't understand being rude to anyone, but I definitely don't understand being rude to people who are going to stick you with sharp things, bring your pain meds and decide how many times to wake you up in the middle of the night.

Me on the opposite side thinking of all the rude things I could have said to the nurse who told my daughter she couldn't have more "pain meds" for another hour. It was *Tylenol*! She didn't ask for more Tylenol, she said Tylenol wasn't controlling the pain. ๐คฆโโ

My favourite ride family member was someone that yelled at me for being too nice no matter if I worked doubles or short shiftsโฆ excellent. What are you going to do, complain to my manager Iโm too nice???? Their family member was there for weeks after that. ๐ as the unit clerk I laid it on EXTRA thick just for them. I was yelled at by them several times after they initially admitted it made them mad I was niceโฆ. Can honestly say it was worth it ever single time. ๐๐คฃ so many staff asked why I was so nice too, so I started to get others on board with it LMF

Especially in a position of power and lots of drugs... if a patient is aggressive to you I pray that you providers don't take advantage if whats meant for good to use it as retaliation. God knows!!! Amen!

Professionalism is overrated. Nevertheless, thank you for maintaining it.

I donโt tolerate abuse. Nobody should and it should not be acceptable. Iโm tired of hearing myself and staff members threatened and called names. The physical attacks on healthcare workers are out of control. We need better protection.
