This piece of "art" is a fitting representation of the age we are living in: without inspiration, without soul, without meaning

We're living and thriving in times of degeneracy, where Disobedience is duty.. taking responsibility for yourself to respond wisely and rapidly.

Children instinctively know what's beautiful and what isn't. People just get conditioned to believe that garbage is gold and vice versa over time.

The quality of a civilization can be seen in no small part in the quality of its art

Because mediocrity is celebrated. The creatives and geniuses are mocked and ignored since they hold the mediocre accountable. The status quo has to believe itself to be special. Same reason modern entertainment sucks, mediocre minds only allow themselves to listen to other mediocre minds, echo chamber friend groups, if you will. PS this sculpture is insanely bad, it looks like a literal pile of shit. Lol

Check out Eric godseyâs podcast ep skyscrapers and cathedrals bra youâll peak. He talks about art as the âcathedral consciousnessâ aka the aim / where beauty resides. Itâs the first lecture in a 6 part series outing ideas from his book the art of dharma! One of my fav books on the role of art and the beauty of becoming. Link to free download of book is in pod description. Links to transcripts of each pod in series are there as well

I totally agree. Im can't call myself an artist. But I was the best at school at drawing my whole childhood till I entered art school. Anyhow. Many famous classical artist, could draw photographiccaly realistic. When they were like 10 years old. Subsequently it's gets boring, the cool thing is how every artist push the boundaries, and express themselves differently as they progress. But its an incredible large amount of noobs, who think its cool and arty to paint abstract, when they dont even have a know how of the basics. I think that's the shit, alot of art you see every where. And for a not artistic person, cant tell the difference, and gets fooled and think, they are soem misunderstood genius, when they in real is just wannabe

Why is modern art so lame?
I walked through Union Station, Denver yesterday. And thought to myself, this 100 ft tall ceiling could be full of lofty imagery that inspires the soul.
Yet, that would be IMPOSSIBLE today.
Because to aim upward, towards beauty, God, and greatness would be offensive to the last men.
Meanwhile, disgusting and uninspiring art crowds Denver. Help me make sense of it.
... Come discuss with me on X @iamkristianbell
