I find it difficult to believe that after all the time and effort putting into crafting my animations, people had been calling me out as “content farm”, due to similarities in the style/layout of my contents with a couple other big FNAF YouTube channels that has a string of histories in stealing and milking FNAF contents.
So let me explain and clarify things a bit about why I’m different.
I have been making almost all of my contents with originality since the day my channel was created. I started making animation without ever knowing that this channel would grow. From the beginning, I just make animation because I loved doing what I’m doing. When the channel finally started catching attention, at some point I must admit I have been mass producing productions. But regardless, I tried my best to keep my films as unique as it can possibly be.
Now, content farm is generally defined as videos that are made with low quality and effort, for the sole purpose of making profits. While it’s true that some of my contents definitely aren’t top notch, they’re animated, edited, and produced all by myself.
As a solo content creator, it’s not easy to keep the channel going, as I have to learn to adapt and balance between quality and quantity to fit in to a specific upload schedule. YouTube’s algorithm is very unforgiving when you don’t fulfil certain criteria in the way they’re are made and uploaded. It’s also true that I took a lot of inspiration from the big channels when it comes to the format and occasionally the style of my films.
But the fact that I create my own contents, coming up with original ideas, and dumping thousands of hours to structure and compose these projects, under the condition that they’re not even earning much profits at all nowadays, makes clear differences between me and these true content farm channels.
Anyways, i don’t expect everyone to like me and my contents. But calling my channel content farm is just unfair. If you have any suggestions about how I could differ myself further from these other big contents farms, leave a comment below and share your thoughts.
