I love the cauliflower core and usually cut it up to steam with the florets. I always chop up broccoli stems after peeling them and cook right up with the florets, too. Now I know what to do with the leaves of the cauliflower. My favorite cores are from the cabbage (green and red) and they go right in with the leaves to shred and make creamy coleslaw (Miracle Whip girl here). I haven't tried the outer cabbage leaves yet but my mom used to make stuffed cabbage with rice, ground beef, tomato sauce mixture and bake them in the oven. I love your carb counting recipes/ victory garden ideas. Living in an apartment I can't grow a garden, but I do shop through an organic market delivery service and everything is fresh from veggies, fruits, meats, dairy, and grains. It is great to see you on your wellness journey. BTW, I love it when you sing. You are a real belter! See you next time! 😊

SIMPLE FOOD SIMPLE LIFE
Remember the cauliflower core and leaves I saved from the Cauli Salad video I recently posted? I turned them into a beautiful slaw. Just washed them well, chopped them in the blender on pulse, diced some peppers and onions. Then, mixed in a vinegar dressing. Delicious!
