The solar eclipse is coming up in April, and I'm exicited, but to be honest I enjoy the lunar eclipses more. This is my best lunar eclipse photo, taken through an 8" Celestron SCT.

Just like I suspected, the youtube algorithm does not render the image in good resolution, it smears out the fine details in the top red portion. In the original photo I see all sorts of things.

In Saskatchewan Canada we had a partial solar eclipse. Mikey Smith horizontally appozed taped the shadow beginning at the 1 o'clock position and exited at the 6 o'clock position. Makes no sense to eclipse on an angle

Hi JT. You wrote above about the moon being spherical, i do have a p900 and have taken many moon pictures. The brightness seems equal whether looking at its centre or its edge. How can happen as the edges should be dimmer as the suns light isnt directly lighting it. Thanks for your content.
