I've been more into old engines as of the last few years and I've wanted one of these for years! It's a Kohler model D "electric plant" from 1929. A tiny 4 cylinder engine that generates 110v DC. These were used on farms and in small towns before most Americans had grid power. All you had to do with flip a light switch on and the plant would crank up automatically. All done with relays and 2 starting batteries. This one was stuck when I picked it up but after a week, I've freed it up. It will take some cleaning and checking things but I'll be excited to hear it run! Lots of these on YouTube if you're curious to hear one running.
