To me, the story is THE most important part. Having good horror can certainly add to it, but having a good story can MORE than make up for bad horror in my eyes.

Me personally I love the args which have a little deep meaning in them . It doesnt matter if its not horror . It should have a mystery which with passing story should be clear and more clear amd by the end make complete sense like the "my minecraft world is deleting itself ". This was one of the best videos ever . In the beginning i thought that it is some horror arg , but by the end it took an unexpected turn and gave an important life lesson .

In my personal opinion I like all of these options. I’ve seen my fair share of arg’s and they all have a good story line and the puzzles/deep investigation but what sets your arg’s aside from everyone else’s is the ambiance. That aspect alone is the reason why I keep coming back to watch your content. It’s the reason why I will sit in my room for hours on end, watching and rewatching your videos. The way you sculpt the story and the puzzles are just alluring but the horror aspect of it makes it feel real in a way, I saw my first minecraft arg through you and it made me question the reality of the story and minecraft in itself for a while. That is how you set your arg’s apart from everyone else’s.

I loveee the arg videos to death, probably my favorite type of content on this channel. Personally I think the lore/story aspect is the best part, but I do agree with the person that pointed out the puzzles are what makes it an arg instead of just a regular video. The horror is always fun but it could certainly be a good story w/o it, especially when the story’s creative and interesting enough to not need it.

Id say that those are essencial for arg videos the horror makes the suspense, the story keeps you in and the puzzles are essencial to give the story continuity

I think all of them are important. Story keeps the reader interested, the puzzles expand on the story and the lore, and the horror keeps us on edge throughout the video.

I love how the least choosen option is the important one here. What's more is that the keys in this list are directly/indirectly included in "that" option.

Your “finding a player who doesn’t exist video” was PEAK!! I love that type of stuff! The story was so good, whilst using unsettling theories and explanations that lead to bigger plot lines was so cool and interesting to watch.

Your args are so good!!! They go into so much detail and you never miss anything!

I think all of these are very important to args and why I watch them. I think how you're doing it right now is perfect. It's what makes you my favorite arg channel.

The story is most important, in my opinion. An ARG can be great even without horror. A great example is "Hey, peebrain. You teleport?". The ARG had some horrorish elements, but it turned out pretty wholesome, and it was still amazing

I'd say that the horror aspect isn't that important/necessary as long as the story is good. Personally, having a good and unique idea to base an arg off of is the best thing about args, but the puzzles/codes are really cool ways to explore said story and add to the thrill. Edit: Speaking of this, I need to know before I die if the random letters at the end of the April fools video could actually be deciphered or if I walked right into the joke 😭

I love the story parts, especially when the analyst gets REALLY involved, like in the story

I believe that a deep and meaningful story is important for any good arg, I do like the longer stories that slowly reveal the inner workings that show that what you guessed is correct, but now I’m just giving advice to arg creators but I do enjoy a well balanced arg and arg’s in general

I feel like the horror part adds the spice to it that makes me want to watch the vids, for example, the vid about mind control was good because of the thought that the person was being watched irl and commanded to just sit there and break bedrock, i just loved the ending and it sent chills down my spine. Sad to see that it's being voted as the least important part

I think the most important part of an ARG is the story/emotion/characters. An ARG with real heart makes the viewer WANT to decode all the ciphers and in the realm of horror, a story with characters we care about is going to be scarier than one without because we don't want the characters to get hurt. I like all the ARGs you've covered, but I particularly like the ones with emotion in them. Not only because that's the type of story I like, but also because I think you do an exceptional job at delivering the emotion in your own videos, so that we feel just as much as we would if we just went and watched the ARG outselves.

i love when it has all, but a good mystery with a good story beats out anything with horror, and honestly, the horror kind of comes naturally at that point.

I actually love all 3. They all play a part in what makes it so special.

I really feel Iike all of the things you mentioned are crucial to an arg. Though depending on the arg it doesn’t necessarily always have to be scary, mostly it’s just sad and has a captivating story to tell. Horror is just a cool addition that can be put into an arg to tell its story so I feel like that is the least important.

To the arg video watchers, which of these is the LEAST important to you in an arg video?
I'm interested in what elements actually make the video a good watch. Like if the arg had pretty much no puzzles and ciphers would it still be interesting? And same idea what if it wasn't scary would that make the video worse or would you not mind that much? Or what if it was all puzzles but no real storyline like a scavenger hunt?
Any answer explanations are very appreciated. TY!
