I like that you felt the need to specify that the 18th century zombie outbreak you were writing about was fictional.

I didn't even know you donated proceeds to charity. I'm a casual fan who watches infrequently. I just wanted to say thanks for making this so I could see it and learn more. I love your content man

YouTube is like "Hey, wanna see this obscure video from 20 years ago blow up for no reason, or wanna see a content creator you love interact with their community? You want the 20 year old video? Gotcha."

TLDR: I am doing tons of cool stuff that people have no idea about because YouTube isn't the best platform. So you can get email updates on my work, every three months, by subscribing to the free Native Oak newsletter here: nativeoak.org/

A zombie outbreak based in 18th century England is absolutely badass, I’ll definitely give it a read

I'm really exited with the zombie thing. It reminds me of Pride, Prejudice and Zombies movie. I really like the lore on it, and I am pretty sure that I would like what you are doing to.

Your video about British Caribbean casualties got me into your channel!

Good to know, always liked the videos of yours I've watched (the collab with Atun shei was also good) the colonial Boston one being the most recent one I've watched. I'm hoping you'll also do one on site in Rhode island involving the Gaspee Affair, as a 16th generation Rhode Islander I probably had ancestors involved.

Hello Brandon. You paint a very dark picture. Time for a rousing "Come on chaps, time to subscribe!" advert for yourself in your videos, along the lines of instructions for new recruit training. Perhaps a "Think of poor Timmy the drummer boy!" follow up?

You channel teaches me something new every time I look at it.

Hordes of zombies encroaching upon exhausted men with muzzleloaders, clubs, bayonets and the like sounds like an interesting read…..

The zombie outbreak thing make me think classic silly wargame scenario, something like silver bayonette

I so appreciate this! I barely even get notifs when you post videos anymore, but if I watch one short from a random channel, I will be all but guaranteed to get constant notifications when they post 🙄

As a avid watcher I also did not know you donated to charity, good on you! I have found the Youtube Community Posts a good way to stay engaged and involved with creators and audiences.

Brandon Fisichella
YouTube is a notoriously bad platform for getting across announcements and updates. Despite my mentioning them frequently, I have been surprised to see that a LOT of people had no idea that:
- I am writing a fiction novel about a zombie outbreak in 18th Century England
- I have a website where I post all of the primary sources I use in my videos in a free digital library
- I donate 10% of all this channel's profits to various charities, as voted on by the audience
- Some videos are even released! Unless people are signed up for notifications or check the subscriptions tab, they may not be recommended.
Of course I don't blame anyone in the audience for not knowing this stuff. But, if you're keen on my work and would like to be made aware of it more effectively, I have decided to launch a quarterly Newsletter via my website.
The Newsletter will be a brief description of the videos I have released, the projects I am working on, and any other important developments with this channel, my authoring, and The Native Oak as a whole.
If you're interested in signing up, you'll find a place to enter your email at the bottom of my website here:

For those uninterested in emails- I guess just have to do a better job at shilling in my videos!
