I decided to continue doing subs for the time being because of my personal pet peeve. Sorry for the confusion!

Erm..the way the question is framed is a bit confusing. So here's my answer, subs, especially when the vtuber is Australian, is really helpful to some people when she's on a yap trip.

Too many question for a yes and no poll. I love your editing style! Hope that help

Subs is nice but I personally don’t need em unless the person isn’t speaking English

Suggestion, putting subtitles over hard to understand parts (like let's say the streamer says that isn't quite easy to understand) seems like a better idea and leaving the rest unsubtitled.

Wait it feels like this poll can be interpreted for yes to mean that you support subs or are against subs, and vice versa for no. Idk how I am supposed to respond to the poll. But, I am personally pro subtitles. But, I would understand wanting to work on other parts of the video as well. However, I would still like subtitles when there are multiple ppl talking, and its hard to tell what is being said as well as when other distracting background noise is happening.

I'm not sure if it's "Yes, having hard subs is a dealbreaker for me." or "No, having hard subs is not a dealbreaker for me." and also I think you meant to ask "Is not having hard subs in the video a dealbreaker for you?" because it kinda sounds like you're asking if people hate the hard subs, but that doesn't make any sense.

I like your clips a lot and I'd probably still watch them without subs Subs are basically just for retention, so I'd probably do some tests where you put out videos like you would normally, just without subs, and then see what your retention stats look like from there Best of luck!

No but I see a lot of clip channels that get every few words wrong and it annoys me

imo unless someone is deaf hard subs only matter when the audio quality is absolute shit and i need to put my volume up and not have any external noise just to be able to understand the video. if i'm eating or there's a lot of external noise soft subs always do the job just fine

Subs are good to put when the clip is meant to emphasize something important but otherwise it's fine if it has no subs. I can just always turn the automatic english captions

Subs are helpful, but I imagine subs that are baken in the video aren't as they could be because of a (relatively niche, but NOT rare) case of people using subs as TTS because of blindness and in the end have to rely on automated subtitles which isn't ideal

In this context: Hard subs = subs put in the actual video, can’t be turned off Soft subs = subs that you can turn on or off on YouTube. As for the question, it really depends on the situation I guess.

You don't have to put subs. With how long her streams are, if omitting subs means a faster workflow and more content then so be it.

Hey, is having hard subs in the video a dealbreaker for you? Most of the time spent editing a video is on adjusting the timing of the subs, so I was wondering if it's worth the time or should I spend the time focusing on other aspects of the videos.
