You know the saying "he/she revealed his/her true colors" after someone crashes out? Why do people think that? Is being happy or having a neutral attitude not part of the true colors or what?

@elgatochurro

I hate the idea that having emotions outside of happiness is considered unhealthy, like you're just supposed to have a smile because not smiling constantly means you're not ok. People have other emotions than fake happiness

i think it might be because truly knowing someone is knowing how they'll react in a moment of conflict so when they react negatively in such a moment its viewed as "showing their true colors" could also be because of war analogies like to describe someone who has deserted or sum

If anything, they reveal their side they intentionally subdue out of the kindness of their heart for the sake of their loved ones Misinterpreting it as that undermines the fact that they hide that irrational side of them for you

Not gunna lie i'm kinda having trouble understanding what you mean by this But i will say people should not always jump the gun on “someone showing their true colors” it's tempting cause it's kinda big and flashy sorta gotcha moment. But i find alot of the time it's more so people just saying stuff in the heat of the moment they do not actually mean and i think that should be taken into consideration a bit more

i domt think im bad. i put in effort to not be a butthole. sometimes just going wild is justified on the internet. if you continue to back it up if youre wrong is what crashing out is. maybe im trying to justify my crashouts. i try to apologize even if i think im right. damn. maybe i am an asshole.
