P.I. Forever

Good people, from time to time, on this channel, I have discussions about the God of the Bible's existence, so my question is... Is there sufficient evidence that the God of the Bible exists?

Also, leave a comment, if you'd like, and let's discuss.

The burden of proof isn't upon me to prove a god doesn't exist... rather the opposite.

To me it’s the fact that the 3 biggest religions share the same stories but don’t agree on who/what is god. In fact, they argue over whose version is the correct one.

The nature of faith is exactly that...faith. when you marry, you have faith that each of you will be faithful to the other...that's why it's called a vow. You have no proof that each will be faithful in the years to come....how could you. When you buy a home you have faith in the builder, the inspector, and the sales agent...faith that none of them lied. When you vote, you have faith that politicians will be as advertised and do what they promised. In the same manner, religion is faith...faith that the words in your book of scripture are actually as important as they profess to be. We have faith in many things. Religion is that part of us that wonders how we got here and our deeper purpose. The books help...but it is faith that lights the path. Faith is perhaps the greatest of human attributes. It allows us to believe we can be stronger, kinder, more civil, and smarter than we are. Working to be better is based upon the faith that being better matters. If you want an example of what happens when faith is gone just look to all of our current societal woes that are getting more out of control every day. A growing number of people are sure the world revoles around them. That egotism is born in the lack of faith in everyone else. When you think you can trust no one...the world suddenly contains one and only one individual. Can you imagine how damaging it is to an individuals psyche if they feel alone in a crowd? They become the ultimate Nietzschean. Where do you think dysphoria comes from. There are comments regarding if it's the same God in the three major religions...it is. The Jews call God "El" in the oldest inscription in rock. In written form, that becomes Jehovah. In Christianity God is God. In Islam, God is Allah. But they all refer to the same God. As for other faiths...if you were to take the polytheistic assemblages as one entity you would have the single God of the three Abrahamic faiths. Faith does not, cannot not, require proof...for that presumes you know as much as God...which theoretically is impossible.

I'm sorry but the Bible has as many holes as a slice of Swiss cheese.

There is no evidence, but I was taught at church that God's existence cannot be proven. That is the importance of faith. So the poll answer is misleading.

I have read and studied the Bible for years and every thing that is happening now was foretold in the Bible even in the old testament.
