For me Marshall Mathers LP was it for years. But as I got older and kept revisiting the albums, The Eminem Show started to resonate with me more. When I take nostalgia out, its hard for me to go back and listen to MMLP and enjoy it the same way.

The Slim Shady LP was his most ‘hip-hop’ album IMO. His debut let the world know he was an elite wordsmith & MC. The albums after that showed who Em was as a person. But when it comes to just showing skills & rapping, his 1st LP made people take him serious as an MC.
