The indescribable gift of being nominated for 2 Grammy awards with Pete Rock for the Auditorium Vol. 1 hit me in the best of ways. It’s a very special feeling to be acknowledged and chosen by a group of artists, musicians, engineers and writers who live and breathe music. So, thank you to the Recording Academy.
These nominations mean so much to me because I got them with Pete Rock. What he means to and has done for the culture of Hip Hop is immeasurable. Along with that, to get nominated with my brother Posdnuos from De La Soul who is one of the reasons I rhyme the way I do (GOD Bless the soul of Dave) is truly a blessing. De La Soul changed my life (shout out to Maseo).
Supreme thanks to all who worked on the Auditorium Vol. 1. When I first picked up a mic my goal was to be dope and touch people's souls with my music. It took a lot of people’s hard work and love to get to this point. To be in Grammy talk in categories with dope young artists to legends is an ultimate blessing.
