Pro humanity perspective @ dog culture review

My dad passed away a couple nights ago.
He was in Port Huron turning wrenches on the Liberty Clipper schooner boat.
Part of the tall boats tour.

We where estranged for a while. Recently reconnected , I forgave him for ditching us kids.
Turns out of 5 kids I was the only Emergency contact is his phone.

So they called me to get permission to let him pass after coding 4 times and several units of blood.

It would have been what he wanted.

He was actually a dog person in the late 70's. The dog lived outside and he kept me inside LOL

He was a bit of a drunk and deadbeat by a few standards.
But at least I was still more important than our dogs.
And noone was ever mauled or bitten.
Funny...becuase dads today be letting dogs kill their kids.

@grt49er

It is not easy making that decision. Making the decision to reconnect with him ended up giving you the peace of mind to make that last decision.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I hope you can find peace with his passing. The world just seemed to be a different place without my parents in it. I hope you don't mind, I mean this with good intentions: I pray that he was a Christian and you will see him again in heaven with nothing but love and peace between you.
